Those cards are explained here!<\/p>\n<p>If you\u2019re playing\u00a0a 2HG prerelease\u00a0you should\u00a0also check out the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.magicjudges.org\/2hg\/archives\/guilds-of-ravnica-2hg-hidden-gems\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">2HG Hidden Gems<\/a>\u00a0that highlights\u00a0which cards to look out for.\u00a0For further reading, if you want to know more about 2HG see the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.magicjudges.org\/2hg\/faq\/\">2HG FAQ<\/a>.\u00a0If you want to know more about how these cards function in general see the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/magic.wizards.com\/en\/articles\/archive\/feature\/guilds-ravnica-release-notes-2018-09-20\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">regular release notes<\/a>.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>GENERAL NOTES<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>You<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The rule of thumb for 2HG is\u00a0<strong><em>\u201cYou\u201d\u00a0<\/em>still refers to you alone, not both you and your teammate.\u00a0<\/strong>Look for the word \u201cyou\u201d in the card text, such as \u201ccreatures you control get +1\/+1\u201d, etc.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Each<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Cards that say\u00a0<em>\u201ceach opponent\u201d<\/em>\u00a0or\u00a0<em>\u201ceach player\u201d<\/em>\u00a0do affect more\u00a0players than usual.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/media.wizards.com\/2018\/grn\/en_YyZv5X6aeA.png\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Centaur Peacemaker is giving each team 8 life!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Each opponent X and you Y<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/media.wizards.com\/2018\/grn\/en_agFWnML7dj.png\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/media.wizards.com\/2018\/grn\/en_psUFnfdoTY.png\" \/><\/p>\n<p>These cards only double up the &#8220;each opponent&#8221; part, not the &#8220;you&#8221; part. With Whispering Snitch the opponents lose 2 in total and you gain 1. With Disinformation Campaign the opponents discard 2 cards in total and you draw 1.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>NEW MECHANIC: MENTOR<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/media.wizards.com\/2018\/grn\/en_zK5bVwlUqz.png\" \/><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Mentor&#8217;s targeting restriction does not mention &#8220;you control&#8221;, only &#8220;target attacking creature&#8221;, so you can mentor your teammate&#8217;s creatures!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>CARD-SPECIFIC NOTES<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/media.wizards.com\/2018\/grn\/en_DUXCS5jbkb.png\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Dawn of Hope<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>This does not trigger when your teammate gains life. While your life total is shared with your teammate, gaining and losing life still happens to players individually. &#8220;Gain life&#8221; does not refer to an observed change in life totals, it refers to the action that results in a change in life totals. So this looks at who actually took that action, and when your teammate gains life, that is not &#8220;you&#8221;.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/media.wizards.com\/2018\/grn\/en_bma8wruaIa.png\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Etrata, the Silencer<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>When you declare this as an attacker you choose which player you&#8217;re attacking. Combat damage would be dealt to that player, so you can only choose a creature controlled by that player.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/media.wizards.com\/2018\/grn\/en_ylkzMLYbqx.png\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Haazda Marshal<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>This counts your teammate&#8217;s attacking creatures as well.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/media.wizards.com\/2018\/grn\/en_zKqgHvF03d.png\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Swathcutter Giant<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>When you declare this as an attacker you choose which player (or planeswalker) you&#8217;re attacking. The trigger will only deal damage to the creatures controlled by that player (or by the player controlling that planeswalker).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/media.wizards.com\/2018\/grn\/en_iZoU1vZXtO.png\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Thief of Sanity<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>When you declare this as an attacker you choose which player you&#8217;re attacking.
