In fact, the regular notes make a whopping 9 references to Two-Headed Giant this time! Perhaps one glorious day this little addendum will be completely redundant.<\/p>\n<p>2HG has a few\u00a0quirks, often about\u00a0the combat phase and life total changes, but the majority of\u00a0cards work as you\u2019d expect. The golden rule of 2HG\u00a0is:\u00a0<em>\u201cYou\u201d still refers to you alone, not both you and your teammate.<strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/em>An ability that boosts \u201ccreatures you control\u201d for example. See\u00a0the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.magicjudges.org\/2hg\/faq\/\">2HG FAQ<\/a>\u00a0if you want to know more about the rules of the format.<\/p>\n<p>The weirdest card for 2HG this set is <a href=\"#emrakul\">Emrakul<\/a> herself!<\/p>\n<p>If you\u2019re going to play in a 2HG prerelease\u00a0you should\u00a0also check out the <a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.magicjudges.org\/2hg\/eldritch-moon-2hg-hidden-gems\/\" target=\"_blank\">2HG Hidden Gems<\/a> that shows which cards to look out for. The defending team doesn&#8217;t lose 2 life.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-670\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.magicjudges.org\/2hg\/files\/2016\/07\/en_baZ8vhEsLP.png\" alt=\"en_baZ8vhEsLP\" width=\"265\" height=\"370\" \/><\/p>\n<p><em>Cryptolith Fragment<\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The mana ability results in\u00a0each team losing 2 life.<\/li>\n<li>In 2HG your life total is the same as your team&#8217;s life total. Thus if both teams have 10 or less life, the third ability will trigger.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr id=\"emrakul\" \/>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-701\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.magicjudges.org\/2hg\/files\/2016\/07\/en_Z2nLZiWA1l.png\" alt=\"en_Z2nLZiWA1l\" width=\"265\" height=\"370\" \/><\/p>\n<p><em>Emrakul, the Promised End<\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>In 2HG when you take control of one player, you take control of both players. MADNESS!<\/li>\n<li>To make up for that: when you take an extra turn, your team takes an extra turn.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-661\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.magicjudges.org\/2hg\/files\/2016\/07\/en_2rGZDu8fEd.png\" alt=\"en_2rGZDu8fEd\" width=\"265\" height=\"370\" \/><\/p>\n<p><em>Fortune&#8217;s Favor<\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Even though you target a specific opponent, teammates are always allowed to share information and talk so in practice both opponents can\u00a0look and decide.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-664\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.magicjudges.org\/2hg\/files\/2016\/07\/en_5IUGdsWoS1.png\" alt=\"en_5IUGdsWoS1\" width=\"265\" height=\"370\" \/><\/p>\n<p><em>Fiend Binder<\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>When this attacks you choose one player as defending player from whom you can target a creature. You don&#8217;t get to tap two creatures.<\/li>\n<li>The choice has no bearing on other choices about \u2018defending player\u2019 or who you\u2019re attacking. For example, you can attack one opponent\u2019s planeswalker but target\u00a0the other opponent&#8217;s creature with this ability.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-682\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.magicjudges.org\/2hg\/files\/2016\/07\/en_KYF4VsKVUr.png\" alt=\"en_KYF4VsKVUr\" width=\"265\" height=\"370\" \/><\/p>\n<p><em>Lone Rider<\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>While your life total is shared, changes to that life total still happen to players individually.
