Make yours easy.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Sell yourself.\n<ul>\n<li>Why should you be on staff?<\/li>\n<li>What large shows have you done?<\/li>\n<li>Who do you work with?\n<ul>\n<li>Regional Coordinator<\/li>\n<li>Senior Judges<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Who would recommend you?<\/li>\n<li>Are you seeking advancement?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Leave good contact information.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><a id=\"Boosting_Your_Reputation\" name=\"Boosting_Your_Reputation\"><\/a><\/p>\n<h3>Boosting Your Reputation<\/h3>\n<ol>\n<li>Networking\n<ul>\n<li>Get Recommendations\n<ul>\n<li>Regional Coordinator<\/li>\n<li>Senior Judges<\/li>\n<li>Tournament Organizers<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>When at shows, talk to people.\n<ul>\n<li>Introduce yourself to the TO<\/li>\n<li>Introduce yourself to the staffing coordinator<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Things you should do:\n<ul>\n<li>DO show up on time, if not early.<\/li>\n<li>DO be proactive about finding ways to help.<\/li>\n<li>DO be polite and friendly.<\/li>\n<li>DO honor your commitments<\/li>\n<li>DO stay &#8217;til the event is over, if not later\n<ul>\n<li>Staying through load-out gets you huge brownie points<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Things you should avoid:\n<ul>\n<li>DON&#8217;T be late.\n<ul>\n<li>\u2026 but, if you are going to be late, call ahead.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>DON&#8217;T no-show\n<ul>\n<li>\u2026 but, if you have to cancel, give as much advance notice as possible.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>DON&#8217;T be rude to staff or players\n<ul>\n<li>\u2026 but everybody has a bad day. Apologize, get over it, move on.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>DON&#8217;T duck out early.\n<ul>\n<li>\u2026 but life happens.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>After the event \u2026\n<ul>\n<li>A quick \u201cthank you\u201d e-mail doesn&#8217;t hurt<\/li>\n<li>Write reviews<\/li>\n<li>Ask when you can work again<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><a id=\"Rejection\" name=\"Rejection\"><\/a><\/p>\n<h3>Rejection<\/h3>\n<ol>\n<li>Sometimes, you won&#8217;t get accepted\n<ul>\n<li>It isn&#8217;t personal.
