  • What worries you most about this event?: The language issues. I hope this isn’t a big problem and everything goes well
  • What challenges have you faced or are you facing to become a better judge?: I live in a remote region of Brazi and there’s no others Level 2+ near me, so sometimes I miss to have someone close with whom learn and exchange experiences.

  • What worries you most about this event?: Not knowing how things are organized and my lack of experience working with a team of judges.
  • Who are your mentors?: Gérard Trpin
  • What is the best part about your local Magic community?: We are a growing community and people are more and more motivated by the game. Some of them are even interested in judging! For this GP, we are at least 20 coming from Nice.

  • What worries you most about this event?: It will be my first GP!! And my english level.

  • Who are your mentors?: Gilles DEMARLE helped me to improve and let me get my level 1. He is not only a good judge but one of the best human beings I’ve ever mixed with. During the mentoring process I had the luck to work with Sophie PAGES and Michaël RABIE.
  • What challenges have you faced or are you facing to become a better judge?: I’ve always suffered from a huge lack of confidence in myself. I now have to improve my rules knowledge in order to access my level 2.
  • How have you worked to overcome those challenges?: I read a lot of the amazing sources that are available for the judges. For the lack of confidence, the first time you head-judge a tournament, you have to go and try to do the best you can, no choice. After head-judging twice with no major incidents, I think I’m a little more confident.
  • What is the best part about your local Magic community?: My local Magic community is awesome in his globality. TOs, players and judges are all great and allow the best experience for everyone. The other judges especially are great and we are a great team.
  • What is your favorite Magic memory?: A win-and-in for top8 during a game day! I lost this match but it was a good Magic moment against a player who became my mentor! I don’t think I ever played Magic so well.
