- Why did you become a judge?:<\/strong> actually there are a few reasons. one was, that i somehow always had a good understanding of the rules and liked to help others getting behind all this and on the other side a good friend of mine is also a judge and when he lived in Mainz he always tried to convince to become one myself. i eventually did, but when i did he already moved to another city, where i can not get very easily. the last reason was, after i played a GP and some larger\/competitive tournaments i wanted to see everything from the other side, behind the magical black curtain.<\/li>\n

- What challenges have you faced or are you facing to become a better judge?:<\/strong> i always have the feeling and sometimes receive the feedback that i am not confident enough while judging. <\/li>\n
- How have you worked to overcome those challenges?:<\/strong> hm since there is still work to be done i did not come over it fully yet, but there is a path for me to deal with it. at least i think so. i always try the best i can and when i am judging alone i think i am way more confident than the other way around. i once ran a GP Trial alone on a different floor than the TO was, so i was really on my own and everything went very smoothly. Sometimes being on your own lets you grow, but sometimes the best way to learn is with a more experienced judge on a large-scale event. <\/li>\n
- What is the best part about your local Magic community?:<\/strong> here are nice people, we have very experienced players alongside newer ones, who interact very nicely with each other. So there is no rules-sharking. also we have a big constructed community with various formats and drafting is also quite popular.<\/li>\n
- What is your favorite Magic memory?:<\/strong> Not the first time i made Top 8 at a PPTQ, and also not when i made Day 2 for the first time at a GP. This is truly a bitter-sweet one. When i had an epileptic shock during a FNM Draft event in my LGS i got taken to a hospital and a close friend of mine dropped short afterwards to bring me my Stuff i left at that Store and to cheer me up and to play with me. I found many good friends in this great game, who support me even in the real world. \ud83d\ude42<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

- Why did you become a judge?:<\/strong> I wanted to help the community and travel around more. I’ve started working on former by taking on bmore responsibilities after becoming a judge and hope to start working on latter starting with this GP.<\/li>\n
- What excites you most about this event?:<\/strong> I’m looking forward to learning more about procedures and organization of GP, meeting new people and maybe hearing some interesting stories. In general, I’m excited about being part of it all.<\/li>\n

<\/span><\/span>. He’s there for anything and everything, really supportive guy.<\/li>\n
- What challenges have you faced or are you facing to become a better judge?:<\/strong> Keeping up with the rules and learning more in order to progress to level 2 is challenging, but so is deciding which tournamens to play and which to judge. <\/li>\n
- What is the best part about your local Magic community?:<\/strong> We’re pretty close-knit. There is always someone willing to grab a beer and play a bit. Everyone tends to be fair and there are very few (if any) serious issues.<\/li>\n
- What is your favorite Magic memory?:<\/strong> When I just started, my first deck was affinity. As a total noob, I didn’t even understand why ravager is a good card.
