The Judge Foundry Elections Committee is established by the bylaws to administer elections within the organization. We organize the annual election of the Board of Directors and Regional Advocates at the annual meeting, support other voting at the annual meeting, and run special elections as needed.
The Elections Committee is looking to appoint 1-3 additional members at large to join our team for the 2025-2026 elections cycle. Candidates must be voting members of Judge Foundry, and are prohibited from participating in any committee activities (including having access to any private information) related to an office for which they are a candidate. You should not apply if you intend to run for the Board of Directors at the 2025 annual meeting. You may apply if you plan to run for Regional Advocate, but you will have to recuse from committee discussions establishing the procedures for the RA election, and from helping to run the election for your region.
The main responsibilities of members of the committee are:
- To determine the schedules for election-related activities, such as nominations, Q&A, and campaigning
- To manage submitted nominations, questions, and answers, for publication as determined by the committee
- To create, test, and distribute ballots for elections, and,
- To verify and announce the results of elections.
Past activities of the committee can be found on this blog, for example, announcements, results, and candidate information for our past elections.
Interested members should submit this form to express their interest by May 1st, 2025.
