Voting Report
The Elections Committee received ballots from 169 Judge Foundry members, 30% of Judge Foundry’s 564 total eligible voting members. (Note: It was discovered early in the meeting that two eligible members were left off of the original voter list due to a clerical error in their membership status. This is the reason for the discrepancy between the pre-meeting number of 562 ballots and the actual number of issued ballots.)
Voting Audit Report
We did not identify any voting anomalies requiring investigation.
We did not need to take any auditable actions during the voting.
The election results and audit reports are available from ElectionBuddy at the following URL:
A CSV version of the counting report is also attached here:
We are also happy to provide voters with the following reports for auditing purposes.
Voter Report
The following report shows the list of voters from whom we received ballots. It allows members to confirm that each voter appears on the official voter list, which was previously furnished via JudgeApps forum. For privacy reasons, this report is only available to Judge Foundry members in the following JudgeApps Forum Thread:
There is also a Voter Audit, which contains no personal information, but which does allow you to cross-reference the confirmation code that was emailed to you. This is also available from the results page. This confirmation code is random for each submitted ballot. By seeing that the confirmation code emailed to you also appears on the VoterAudit report provided by ElectionBuddy, you can confirm that your vote was counted.
Ballot Report
The following report shows each anonymized ballot. They are presented in a random order and cannot be connected to any identifying information. This allows members to confirm that the ballots were counted correctly.
NOTE: This file does NOT follow the same numbering convention as the ballot. On the ballot, you ranked your most preferred candidate as a 1, for first place. In this file, that is reversed. We apologize for any confusion; this is the format used by our election provider.
While it is something of a chore, you can count these manually to ensure that the calculations made by ElectionBuddy are correct. I made a spreadsheet to do so, and confirmed that the results are the same.
Other Business
Various other votes also occurred at the annual meeting:
- A Quorum Call and Test Vote received 77 ballots.
- The Agenda of the Meeting was adopted.
- The Rules of the Meeting were adopted.
- An Amendment to the Bylaws requiring 90% approval was not adopted.
- A Motion regarding a Special Meeting to Amend the Bylaws was adopted.
- A Motion regarding a Web Communications Project was adopted.
Please note that the final adopted text for any motion or amendment will be found in the Minutes.
Next Steps
The new Board and Regional Advocates take office as defined in the Bylaws and Regions and Regional Leadership Charter.
The incoming Board was asked to revisit the Bylaws Amendment regarding the time period during which Elections would be open. Please provide any input to the Board or Bylaws Committee. This amendment will need to be passed at a Special Meeting in order to have effect for the 2026 elections.
The Elections Committee will solicit volunteers in 2026 prior to the beginning of the 2026 Annual Meeting Election Cycle.
