You\u2019re back! You\u2019re probably looking for some new features and bug fixes. If so, we have a bunch of those for you! Read on to see how we managed to improve reviews even more, fixed some bugs and implemented some of the features you requested.<\/span><\/p>\n

Comments<\/span><\/h1>\n

Do you know how you can use comments when planning an event? They help you communicate with other staff members or just used to take notes. Did you notice how reviews have the same option, but it doesn\u2019t work so well, with the text not showing new lines in, well, new lines? If you did, it\u2019s now fixed. If you didn\u2019t, we were just kidding\u2026 Nothing to see here.<\/span><\/p>\n

Reviews (again!)<\/span><\/h1>\n

Yes, again. The fun thing in creating something new is that you get a lot of opportunities to improve it. And improving we did. We added some fine-tuning to review searches, so you can now look a specific reviewer, a specific subject, or both. This is especially useful if someone has shared their reviews with you, or if you want to see your entire review history with a particular person. <\/span><\/p>\n

Another little feature is a new button added to judges\u2019 profile pages. Now you can start writing a review about any judge right from their profile page with one click of a button.<\/span><\/p>\n

And one last thing (until the next update, at least): if you edit a review you have submitted already, the button says \u2018Save Review\u2019 instead of \u2018Save Draft\u2019, like it previously did, and we fixed a bug when adding new sections to a review. Notifications, Notifications…<\/span><\/h1>\n

We added notifications for event admins. Details about the different kinds of notifications, why would you want them (or not), and how to manage them, can be found in this <\/span>dedicated blog post<\/span><\/a> by Dan Collins<\/a><\/span><\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n

The JudgeApps Homepage<\/span><\/h1>\n

There was a small bug when checking dates for events to decide whether they\u2019re considered upcoming or past events. Due to one kind of comparison instead of another, events were considered to become past events on their last day instead of after their last day. As a concrete example, you could attend a two-day conference, and when you\u2019d try to go look at the schedule for Sunday, the event would be missing from your homepage, even though it\u2019s still running. This should no longer happen.<\/span><\/p>\n

Feedback<\/span><\/h1>\n

There\u2019s a new category in the feedback form. If you find any security problem (like being able to access or edit information you shouldn\u2019t have access to), please choose the \u2018Security Bug Report\u2019 as the feedback type. This will put your report in a special queue that only a few server administrators can see. This way, you can rest assured that only people who need to know will be aware of the issue.<\/span><\/p>\n
