The error is unintentional.<\/div>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><br style=\"clear: both; height: 1px; margin: -1px 0pt 0pt; overflow: hidden;\"><br \/>\nWhat is the appropriate infraction, penalty, and additional fix, if any?<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">[expand title=&#8221;View Answer&#8221;]<br \/>\nThe definition of deck\/decklist problem is as follows:<\/p>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify\">\n<blockquote><p>A player is considered to have a Deck\/Decklist Problem when one or more of the following conditions are true:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The deck and\/or decklist contain an illegal number of cards for the format<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>and most importantly:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Sideboards are considered to be a part of the deck for the purpose of this infraction.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/blockquote>\n<\/div>\n<p>This decklist has 16 cards in the sideboard, which is too many! Assuming all the cards are legal for the format then the MIPG has a specific fix:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">If the deck and decklist both violate a maximum cards restriction (usually too many cards in a sideboard or more than four of a card), remove cards starting from the bottom of the appropriate section of the list.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">This means we remove the bottom sideboard card and then alter the list. The player then gets a game loss and can continue playing!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">What this means for us is that our deck list should now look like:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">4 <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.magicjudges.org\/knowledgepool\/wp-content\/plugins\/lems-mtg-helper\/lems-mtg-helper-cardfinder.php?find=Cancel&width=223&height=310\" class=\"jTip\" name=\"\">Cancel<\/a><br \/>\n4 <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.magicjudges.org\/knowledgepool\/wp-content\/plugins\/lems-mtg-helper\/lems-mtg-helper-cardfinder.php?find=Flashfreeze&width=223&height=310\" class=\"jTip\" name=\"\">Flashfreeze<\/a><br \/>\n4 <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.magicjudges.org\/knowledgepool\/wp-content\/plugins\/lems-mtg-helper\/lems-mtg-helper-cardfinder.php?find=Phyrexian+Revoker&width=223&height=310\" class=\"jTip\" name=\"\">Phyrexian Revoker<\/a><br \/>\n3 <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.magicjudges.org\/knowledgepool\/wp-content\/plugins\/lems-mtg-helper\/lems-mtg-helper-cardfinder.php?find=Garruk%2C+Primal+Hunter&width=223&height=310\" class=\"jTip\" name=\"\">Garruk, Primal Hunter<\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">We also alter the deck list to accurately reflect our new sideboard.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Note that there was another possibility here: As a special bonus, let&#8217;s play &#8220;what-if&#8221;!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><strong>What would we do if the player is playing 15 cards in their sideboard?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">If that is the case then we apply the fix:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Remove any cards from the deck that are illegal for the format or violate the maximum number allowed, fix any failures to de-sideboard, restore any missing cards if they (or identical replacements) can be located, then alter the decklist to reflect the remaining deck.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Notice that we do not have to remove any cards! We simply issue the game loss and alter the decklist.
