His recognitions this wave were for his work as a Head Judge and as a Judge Manager:

Jason, In order for judges to advance through the program, they need an opportunity to show off their skills. I consistently see you choose to staff events with this in mind, pairing younger judges with more experienced ones and giving judges an opportunity to demonstrate their growth and skills by putting them in new positions. Even a judge with all of the knowledge and skills he or she needs for the program still requires and opportunity to demonstrate that, and you provide those opportunities consistently to judges of all levels. – Sam Barrows

You have always been an amazing mentor for me. You exhibit qualities that I respect and strive for. Specifically, I would like to thank you for your leadership at SCG Regionals 2015. I appreciated how well you managed us when we ended up across three different rooms on two different floors. The entire tournament ran more smoothly than it had any right to, primarily due to your organization and composure. – Jeffrey Emery

Jason, as HJ of the SCG PIQ a couple months ago you provided a great opportunity for everyone on the staff to learn and be involved. It was a very interesting tournament and I believe that with your leadership the event went off very well for the players and extremely well for the newer judges on staff. – Gilbert Medeiros

Here’s what Bryan Hare had to say about these recommendations:

Day 7 is Regional Jason Riendeau day. Jason was recognized by his peers for stepping up in the area of mentorship and development. Jason was also praised for staffing to help less experienced judges help get more experience at larger events, even giving up his spot at SCG Regionals so
that other judges could get more experience. Jason’s selfless nature and commitment to improving judging in the Northeast are a benefit to us all and we are lucky to have him. Thank you Jason!

On the seventh day of our 12-part series of exemplary Exemplar recommendations, we highlight Jason Riendeau, Level 2 Judge from Ayer, Massachusetts.
