His name is Ivan Petkovic, he\u2019s a level 3 Judge from Croatia, currently residing in Hamburg, Germany. He has become a regular at Grand Prix in Europe and he also had some appearances in Japanese GPs too, which will continue in 2017! And since I love and enjoy solving large-scale logistical challenges, I try to put myself often in this role. It turned out for the last year I was, in one way or another, involved with this task.<br \/>\nA lot of knowledge collected in this article wasn\u2019t invented by me. They are things I picked along the way and possibly iterated on a bit to adapt to my style of organizing SE. Just to mention some names who helped with the\u00a0creation of this document: Jurgen Baert, Alfonso Bueno, Matteo Callegari, Lamberto Franco and Riccardo Tessitori.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Why am I focusing on Sunday? Friday\u2019s scheduled events are much more different than those on Sunday and largely consist of GP Trials and ODEs. As I was writing, I thought publishing it could be useful for others. One role doesn\u2019t necessarily mean one person, but can be.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>SE Manager<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify\">Goal: Makes sure SE runs smoothly.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify\">Main responsibility\n<ul>\n<li>Scheduled events (primary)<\/li>\n<li>On demand event (secondary)<\/li>\n<li>Efficient SE judge staff management<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Mostly interacts with\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify\">All<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify\">Primarily with Stage Manager, ODE Manager, Floor Manager (optional), Break Manager (optional) &amp; efficiently<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Mostly interacts with:\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify\">SE Manager &amp; other managerial roles<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong>Stage Manager (TO role)<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify\">Goal: Smooth operations of SE from TOs perspective (e.g. registrations starting finishing on time)<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify\">Main responsibility\n<ul>\n<li>Events (and registration) starting on time<\/li>\n<li>Venue breakdown plan<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Mostly interacts with\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify\">Scorekeepers<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify\">Registration lead<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify\">SE Manager<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify\">Floor Manager<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong>Scorekeeper (TO role)<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify\">Goal: Supporting administrative side of the event<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify\">Main responsibility\n<ul>\n<li>Registrations<\/li>\n<li>Results entry<\/li>\n<li>Tournament paperwork (pairings, seatings, slips, signs\u2026)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Mostly interacts with\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify\">Stage Manager<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify\">Registration Lead<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify\">SE Manager<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify\">Floor Manager<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify\">Kickstart team<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong>Registration Lead (TO role)<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify\">Goal: Smooth registrations for all side events<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify\">Main responsibility:\n<ul>\n<li>Logistics of physical lines (tensabarriers), signs, registration forms, payment points<\/li>\n<li>Making sure enough players register (and at proper time) by making announcements<\/li>\n<li>Answering players\u2019 questions about starting of a tournament and registrations<\/li>\n<li>Customer service before the event starts (e.g. dealing with players who ask for reimbursements or want to change the event)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Mostly interacts with:\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify\">Registration team<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong>Prize Station (TO role)<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify\">Goal: All players who have received prizes in form of TIX, can have them exchanged for various prizes<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify\">Main responsibility:\n<ul>\n<li>Exchange TIX for correct prize<\/li>\n<li>Make sure no received TIX are misplaced<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Mostly interacts with:\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify\">ODE Manager (checking which tournaments are still in progress)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">This is it, this is the end of the first article.
