{"id":398,"date":"2015-10-09T10:43:37","date_gmt":"2015-10-09T07:43:37","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.magicjudges.org\/rules\/?page_id=398"},"modified":"2016-10-01T07:41:12","modified_gmt":"2016-10-01T04:41:12","slug":"mtr10-2","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/blogs.magicjudges.org\/rules\/mtr10-2\/","title":{"rendered":"MTR 10.2 Number of Rounds"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify\">The minimum number of rounds required for a tournament to be sanctioned as a rated tournament is as follows:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify\">\n<li>For individual tournaments, a minimum of three (3) rounds<\/li>\n<li>For team and Two-Headed Giant tournaments, a minimum of two (2) rounds<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">If the minimum number of rounds is not met, the tournament is no longer DCI-sanctioned and will not provide Planeswalker Points. If the minimum number of rounds is not met for any DCI-sanctioned, rated tournament, the Tournament Organizer should report the tournament as \u201cDid Not Occur.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">The number of rounds should be announced at or before the beginning of the first round; once announced, it cannot be changed. A variable number of rounds can be announced instead, with specific criteria for ending the tournament.
