During matches, players may not seek play advice from spectators and spectators may not give play advice to players.<\/p>\n

During deck construction, players and spectators may not provide any advice or commentary to a player until that player\u2019s decklist has been handed in.<\/p>\n

While not during a match, advice or commentary during deck construction at a limited event can alter the deck the player is building.\u00a0 Deck Building is a tournament skill being tested, and any help taints that.<\/em><\/div>\n

Players and spectators will refrain from providing any information about draft selections or strategies between pod announcement and the end of the draft. At Competitive and Professional Rules Enforcement Level, players and spectators are expected to remain silent during the draft.<\/p>\n

The remaining silent bit is actually there to protect the players from accidentally revealing too much information while chatting with their buddies.\u00a0 Talking can only get you in trouble during this part of the tournament.<\/em> <\/div>\n

Some of these restrictions may be waived due to official press or coverage; in these situations, the player will be informed of the revised expectations. Teammates in certain team tournaments are also excepted from these restrictions (see section 4.5).<\/p>\n

This is carved out for coverage when they cover a specific drafter.\u00a0 They might have to make changes to information shared to mitigate the advantages their opponents might have.\u00a0 Unless you are dealing with coverage at a GP-equivalent event, or a PT-equivalent event, you don’t need to worry about this.<\/em> <\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
