Ultimate Masters has many cards that are extremely powerful and required a hard looking at to make complete determinations. Below you will find a listing of the triggers deemed Generally Detrimental from Ultimate Masters.<\/p>\n

There are some notable cards that are deemed Not Generally Detrimental in this set; namely, Emrakul, the Aeons Torn<\/a> and her Eldrazi Titan kin Ulamog, the Infinite Gyre<\/a> and Kozilek, Butcher of Truth<\/a>. All three of these say to shuffle them and your graveyard into your library when they hit the graveyard. These cards are better when you they are in your library or hand more often than your graveyard. It is Not Generally Detrimental to miss this trigger. A thorough investigation should be had in the case it is missed and later is brought into play via a Goryo\u2019s Vengeance<\/a>, a card also available in this set.<\/p>\n

Additionally, Reveillark<\/a> is Not Generally Detrimental despite having Evoke. Unlike most other cards with Evoke, Reveillark<\/a> needs to leave the battlefield for its trigger to go on the stack. Also, casting a 4\/3 flyer for additional mana is not generally best for business, unlike Offalsnout<\/a> which cost less for Evoke making it a 2\/2 for B. Reveillark is like Dark Confidant<\/a> in a way; it is played because of its ability.<\/p>\n
