When text on a card refers to creatures, it means creatures on the battlefield. This is because creatures only exist when on the battlefield. When a creature card is in any other zone, it is just that: a creature <em>card<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>For example, let&#8217;s say that you control <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.magicjudges.org\/rulestips\/wp-content\/plugins\/lems-mtg-helper\/lems-mtg-helper-cardfinder.php?find=Honor+of+the+Pure&width=223&height=310\" class=\"jTip\" name=\"\">Honor of the Pure<\/a> and you have <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.magicjudges.org\/rulestips\/wp-content\/plugins\/lems-mtg-helper\/lems-mtg-helper-cardfinder.php?find=Kemba%26%238217%3Bs+Skyguard&width=223&height=310\" class=\"jTip\" name=\"\">Kemba&#8217;s Skyguard<\/a> in your graveyard. If you cast <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.magicjudges.org\/rulestips\/wp-content\/plugins\/lems-mtg-helper\/lems-mtg-helper-cardfinder.php?find=Corpse+Lunge&width=223&height=310\" class=\"jTip\" name=\"\">Corpse Lunge<\/a> and choose to exile the Kemba&#8217;s Skyguard from your graveyard, the Corpse Lunge will only deal two damage. Honor of the Pure will not affect the characteristics of the Skyguard card in your graveyard at all.<\/p>\n<p>Similarly, <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.magicjudges.org\/rulestips\/wp-content\/plugins\/lems-mtg-helper\/lems-mtg-helper-cardfinder.php?find=Grand+Abolisher&width=223&height=310\" class=\"jTip\" name=\"\">Grand Abolisher<\/a>&#8216;s ability prevents other players from using the activated abilities of creatures during the turn of the Abolisher&#8217;s controller. If your opponent controls Grand Abolisher, you can still use the ability of a <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.magicjudges.org\/rulestips\/wp-content\/plugins\/lems-mtg-helper\/lems-mtg-helper-cardfinder.php?find=Reassembling+Skeleton&width=223&height=310\" class=\"jTip\" name=\"\">Reassembling Skeleton<\/a> in your graveyard during his turn.
