Let\u2019s return to the lab where we left off, with a Menace on the battlefield alongside a <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.magicjudges.org\/rulestips\/wp-content\/plugins\/lems-mtg-helper\/lems-mtg-helper-cardfinder.php?find=Cloudfin+Raptor&width=223&height=310\" class=\"jTip\" name=\"\">Cloudfin Raptor<\/a> with four +1\/+1 counters on it.<\/p>\n<p>What happens if we now cast <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.magicjudges.org\/rulestips\/wp-content\/plugins\/lems-mtg-helper\/lems-mtg-helper-cardfinder.php?find=Bioshift&width=223&height=310\" class=\"jTip\" name=\"\">Bioshift<\/a>, moving the counters from the Raptor to the Menace?<\/p>\n<p>This is another instance of the wording of a card not being precisely what it appears! A closer look at the rules reveals that the act of \u201cmoving\u201d a counter involves two simultaneous components: removing the counter from the first creature, and putting the counter onto the second creature. Because &#8220;putting&#8221; counts as &#8220;placing,&#8221; Corpsejack Menace\u2019s ability will apply to the counters being moved onto it via Bioshift. The result?
