<\/p>Today on Modern Masters Week, we’ll be talking about everyone’s favorite transdimensional world-devouring horrors: the Eldrazi! First seen on Zendikar, these massive beasts are back in Modern Masters to wreak havoc in the general direction of whoever you don’t like. Some of the Eldrazi (such as Nest Invader<\/a> and Dread Drone<\/a> have colors, but the big bads (Emrakul, the Aeons Torn<\/a>; Kozilek, Butcher of Truth<\/a>; and Ulamog, the Infinite Gyre<\/a>, as well as Artisand of Kozilek<\/a> and Ulamog’s Crusher<\/a>) and the Eldrazi Spawn are colorless. However, they are NOT artifacts just because they’re colorless! They’re not going to count towards your Metalcraft or your Affinity, and your opponent is gonna be awful sad if he planned on answering Kozilek with Smash to Smithereens<\/a>, or using Apostle’s Blessing<\/a> to sneak an attack past an Ulamog. Likewise, only Dread Drone is going to be blocking an opposing Shadowmage Infiltrator<\/a>, since the rest are neither black NOR artifacts. There is a little tech with artifacts, though: your Eye of Ugin<\/a> can fetch out ANY colorless creature card, so it can find your Spellskite<\/a>s and Alloy Myr<\/a>s and such as well. It can’t cast them, though!<\/p>\n
