<\/p>With the recent unbanning of Ancestral Vision<\/a> in Modern, many a blue player have been happily saying their three favorite words that aren’t “counter target spell”: “Draw three cards”! And obviously, you’d pair something spicy with all that card draw- perhaps a Snapcaster Mage<\/a> so you can double up the value on your spells and swing for 2? Unfortunately, you’d better be saving your Snapcasters for something other than Vision- Snapcaster’s trigger grants flashback to the target, and the flashback cost is equal to the mana cost. Unfortunately, the mana cost for Ancestral Vision isn’t 0- it’s null. It’s nothing- it does not exist. Just like you can’t hardcast Ancestral Vision without help due to it being impossible to pay a cost which does not exist, you can’t flash it back via Snapcaster because you can’t pay the nonexistent Flashback cost. You’ll have to get your value another way, I’m afraid!<\/p>\n
