{"id":803,"date":"2011-06-21T09:00:46","date_gmt":"2011-06-21T14:00:46","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blog.dcifamily.org\/?p=803"},"modified":"2015-02-05T16:08:16","modified_gmt":"2015-02-06T00:08:16","slug":"what-notes-you-can-take-and-use","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.magicjudges.org\/rulestips\/2011\/06\/what-notes-you-can-take-and-use\/","title":{"rendered":"What notes you can take and use."},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Tournament Magic\u00a0can\u00a0be complex, with a lot to keep track of.\u00a0 During a game, a player is allowed to make notes about cards they have seen played, or revealed, certain strategies they see used, or even what they plan on getting on their Sub after they finish the current match.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nAt the start of each match, when you sit down, your note sheet must be empty.\u00a0 It also has to be visible throughout the match.\u00a0 You don&#8217;t have to show your notes to your opponent, but he does need to be able to continuously verify that you aren&#8217;t sneaking a peek at something you shouldn&#8217;t be.\u00a0 However, if a Judge asks to see or explain your notes, you are required to do so.\u00a0 Any notes you take during the match may be referred to during that match, regardless of the game you are on.<\/p>\n<p>Between games, you may refer to notes made before the current match.\u00a0 It does not matter if the notes were taken 2 minutes before the match began, or printed off a website at home a week before the event.
