<\/a><\/p>\nThere were total of 6 rounds of qualifier events at individual stores, culminating to a final tournament on a neutral ground. The whole event was promoted as \u201cThe Best Warm Up for Nationals\u201d because every event also has Competitive Draft rounds, which is a very rare chance for players who don\u2019t attend PPTQ regularly. The final tournament had a total attendance of 64 players. Instead of a Top 8 draft we ran a “Top 24 draft”, so that more players can enjoy the full tournament. It turned out that this was a great exercise for new judges as well, as we never really got to judge an event with more than 30 players.<\/p>\n
A total of 7 judges participated in this event: Pym<\/a> Apart from big events like RPTQ and Nationals, it\u2019s very hard for the judges to get to work together like this. MCC has proven to be another opportunity for the judges to practice teamwork and mentoring each other in the areas they are still lacking. The mentors also had a chance to practice mentoring to the new judges.<\/p>\n Big thanks to SEA Judge Program in helping this event become possible. We all know that we love shinies and we are willing to work hard for them!
