Sweet, it\u2019s my turn to write again! Hi, it\u2019s Fortuanto Acosta<\/a> bringing you this week\u2019s Exemplar Highlight! This week\u2019s Review was written by Brian Keaton<\/a> for Daniel Lee<\/a>!<\/p>\n

\"Brian<\/a>

Brian Keaton<\/strong><\/p><\/div><\/em>Through my incredibly well skilled detective work, hopefully my sarcasm can be felt through your screen right now, I heard that Brian had some disagreements with the way the Exemplar Review system worked. So, it\u2019s a tad bit ironic to be here praising his Exemplar Review! Regardless, Brian\u2019s from Seattle, Washington(up there with Wizards himself!), and he\u2019s an L2 who\u2019s quite into DC Comics! If I\u2019ve heard correctly you can even find him dressed as his favorite green archer.<\/p>\n

\"Daniel<\/a>

Daniel Lee<\/strong><\/p><\/div><\/em>Daniel on the other hand is also an L2 but from Stockton, California! He\u2019s a high school math teacher who got his degree at CSU Stanislaus–even took part in a math PhD program at UC Irvine! Dude is wicked smart! He also started playing Magic back in Invasion! Which sounds like a pretty cool time to start playing Magic, so many sweet cards got printed! There was Terminate, Pernicious Deed, Flametongue Kavu, Fact or Fiction, and even Chris Pikula–erm, I mean Meddling Mage! Daniel started Judging at the Champions of Kamigawa prerelease, even got certified by Toby Elliott! Wonder how often he had to explain Splice into the Arcane, I still have to explain it to people on a regular basis! Anyway, here\u2019s the rad review!<\/p>\n

\u201cIt may be hard to believe, but once you hit a certain threshold of Judging events, it can be difficult to keep your smile in place. Events tend to bring out the pessimist in all of us after a while, at least in part. This is what brings me to you, Daniel.<\/em><\/p>\n

I first met you at GP Portland 2014 and, in tandem with your wife Kat, you have constantly shown me what we come to these events FOR. We are here to keep players coming back, with genuine smiles and pleasant experiences. At GP SeaTac you helped me on the main event when we had a potential USC Major, helping me figure out the process behind investigating such a sticky infraction. You only helped as much as I needed, when most Judges would have walked through the entire process step by step and not taken my own knowledge into account.<\/em><\/p>\n

You’ve been a mentor and a friend, and I was overjoyed to see you once again at GP Albuquerque keeping morale up and distributing smiles. I look forward to continuing to work with you in the future.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

My love of Judges\u2019 constant positivity throughout an event, especially long ones like GP\u2019s, is most definitely not hidden. It\u2019s always awesome to hear about it, I mean, it always brightens my day to hear about it–so imagine actually being there! Hopefully it helps those long and sometimes kind of cruddy GP experiences! We\u2019re all there to help each other, from being a mentor to just having an infectious smile.
