It involved links for applications and explanations of what it would look like. Sometimes though, a visual guide can really improve our understanding of complicated systems. All of the Area Coordinators are outlined in a color and their respective leads are also outlined in the same color. All of the Specialty Coordinators are filled in with a color and their respective leads are also filled in with the same color. Makes sense, right? But what do these roles mean?<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Here is a document we attached with the application we pushed out yesterday:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">To facilitate this change, we are creating four sub regions for the USA Southwest. These four areas will be: Northern California (including Bakersfield and Santa Maria as the southernmost cities), Southern California, Nevada, Arizona.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">There are three tiers within our new leadership program:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Regional Coordinator<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Area Coordinator | Specialty Coordinator<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Area Specialty Lead<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">At the <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Area Coordinator<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> level there are 6 unique roles. One of these roles is repeated for each of the four sub regions, for 9 total Area Coordinator positions. \u00a0We anticipate these roles to take up approximately 20 to 30 hours per month of work per month.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>Area Coordinator (4 positions, AZ, NV, NorCal, SoCal)<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Maintain a current roster of judges, tournament organizers, and store\/community contacts within your quadrant of the region.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Act as the first step in conflict resolution within the quadrant.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Attend conferences with regional leadership on an as needed (currently annual) basis. <\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Report out with regional leadership on a monthly basis to discuss current affairs within the quadrant.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Additional duties as assigned by the Regional Coordinator<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Specialty leads will report directly to Area Coordinators. <\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Specialty coordinators will collaborate with Area Coordinators.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Events Coordinator (1 position)<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Maintain a current list of all judge program events organized by the events team<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Manage a team of leads for all regional conferences, meet ups, mock tournaments and other potential judge events that are not tournaments within each quadrant<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Attend conferences with regional leadership on an as needed (currently annual) basis<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Provide reports to regional leadership on a monthly basis to discuss current plans in progress for events. <\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Make sure post event reports are completed in a timely fashion <\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Additional duties as assigned by Regional Coordinator<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Events leads in each quadrant will report directly to the Events Coordinator.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Collaborate with each Area Coordinator on event needs for each quadrant.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>PPTQ Coordinator (1 position)<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Maintain a current list of stores running PPTQs and the Head Judges <\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Manage a team of leads for PPTQ coordination system in each quadrant<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Attend conferences with regional leadership on an as needed (currently annual) basis<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Provide reports to regional leadership on a monthly basis on status of PPTQs<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Additional duties as assigned by Regional Coordinator<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">PPTQ leads in each quadrant will report directly to the PPTQ Coordinator.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Collaborate with each Area Coordinator on PPTQ needs for each quadrant.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>Advancement Coordinator (1 position)<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Maintain a current list of potential candidates for level 2 and level 3 advancements<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Collaborate with leads on creating and running advancement programs<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Coordinate access to tests<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Work with leads to create practice test content<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Work with leads to create study content<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Report out with regional leadership on a monthly basis on status of advancement each month<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Attend conferences with regional leadership on an as needed (currently annual) basis<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Additional Duties as assigned by Regional Coordinator<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Advancement leads in each quadrant will report directly to the Advancement Coordinator.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Collaborate with each Area Coordinator on advancement needs for each quadrant.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>Communications Coordinator (1 position)<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Maintain all regional content calendars<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Provide reports to regional leadership on a monthly basis on status of regional communications<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Attend conferences with regional leadership on an as needed (currently annual) basis<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Manage the regional blog<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Manage the Judge Maps resources<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Ensure that regional communications are well edited and language is clear<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Additional duties as assigned by Regional Coordinator<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Communications leads in each quadrant will report directly to the Communications Coordinator.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Collaborate with each Area Coordinator on communications needs for each quadrant.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>Administrative Coordinator (1 position)<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Creating a schedule for report outs each month with Area Coordinators, Specialty Coordinators, RC and Leads<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Keeping detailed minutes from each report out and ensuring distribution through leadership<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Creating agendas for monthly report outs<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Maintain reminders for area leadership in regards to critical deadlines<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Within each area there will be four leads. Each of these leads will be designated to one speciality, for a total of 16 lead positions in the region. \u00a0The leads are responsible for general oversight of their assigned specialty within their area and for creating teams to help implement and maintain the duties of each specialty.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Leads report to their respective Specialty and Area Coordinators. <\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Pretty cool, right? We are very excited about this new structure and the application process that we have created to go with it.
