Wir (Guillaume Beuzelin, RC für Frankreich, Stefan Ladstätter und Michael Wiese) freuen uns, eine Änderung in unseren Regionen bekanntgeben zu dürfen!

Vor ein paar Jahren kam in einem Gespräch zwischen Michael und Guillaume die Idee auf, die Schweiz wegen der Sprache und der Kultur zwischen unseren Regionen aufzuteilen. Zuvor mussten wir jedoch sicherstellen, dass die Schweizer Judge-Community diese Teilung unbeschadet überstehen wird. Das war der Hauptgrund, warum es in JudgeApps nun möglich ist, sich in mehreren Regionen zu registrieren—wir wollten erreichen, dass die Schweizer Judges Zugriff auf die Foren beider Regionen haben, damit sie je nach Zugehörigkeit mit den jeweiligen Communities interagieren können.
Dieses Features gibt es seit ein paar Monaten in JudgeApps, und wir haben nur noch gewartet, bis Stefan offiziell neuer RC für die deutschsprachigen Länder ist. Nun, da die Übergabe der RC-Rolle abgeschlossen ist, freuen wir uns, die offizielle Teilung der Schweiz bekanntgeben zu dürfen.

Was passiert nun? Jeder Schweizer Judge kann seine Primär-Region auswählen, basierend auf der bevorzugten Sprache. Um dies zu tun, sollten französisch-sprechende Judges “Switzerland french-speaking” auf ihrem JudgeApps-Profil auswählen. Andere Schweizer Judges behalten “Switzerland” als Land. Dies ist hauptsächlich eine administrative Entscheidung: Welchen RC kontaktierst du, falls du ein Problem hast oder L3 werden willst, welcher RC soll dir deine Exemplar-Foils schicken, etc.

Was Stores und TOs betrifft, so werden diese in Zukunft den RC jener Region kontaktieren, die auch ihrem Local Office entspricht, also normaler Weise ebenfalls passend zur Sprache.

Wir hoffen, dass diese Neuerung für den französisch-sprechenden Teil der Schweiz helfen wird, die lokale Judge-Community zu fördern, und einen besseren Austausch mit anderen Judges ihrer neuen Region ermöglichen wird.

Bonjour à tous !

Aujourd’hui, nous (Guillaume Beuzelin, RC pour la France, Stefan Ladstaetter, RC dans régions germanophones, et Michael Wiese, précédent RC de cette région) souhaitons vous annoncer quelques changements dans nos régions.

Il y a quelques temps, lors d’une discussion informelle entre Michael et Guillaume, nous avons eu l’idée de repenser la division de la Suisse entre la France et les régions germanophones pour des raisons de langues et de cultures. Avant de nous lancer dans l’aventure, nous voulions être certains que la communauté suisse ne serait pas impactée négativement par ce changement. Ce souhait a d’ailleurs été à l’origine de la demande de l’option permettant d’avoir une région secondaire sur JudgeApps, car nous voulions que les arbitres Suisses soient en mesure de lire les forums des deux régions dans lesquels ils risquent d’arbitrer et d’interagir avec la communauté.
Après l’intégration de cette nouvelle possibilité il y a quelques mois, nous étions prêts à l’officialiser. Sachant que le RC allemand allait changer prochainement, il nous a semblé plus logique d’attendre la nomination de celui-ci pour effectuer cette annonce. Maintenant que Stefan est officiellement le coordinateur régional pour les régions germanophones, nous sommes heureux de vous annoncer que la Suisse sera maintenant supervisée en partie par Guillaume et en partie par Stefan.

De façon pratique, chaque arbitre Suisse va pouvoir choisir sa région primaire,France ou pays germanophone, en fonction de sa langue de préférence Pour ce faire, si vous êtes Francophone, il vous faut choisir “Switzerland French-Speaking” dans le cas contraire choisissez seulement “Switzerland”. La région primaire est essentiellement un choix administratif pour vous permettre : de savoir entre autres choses qui est votre coordinateur régional référent, qui est votre contact si vous êtes intéressé par le niveau 3, quel RC est responsable de vous envoyer les lettres pour l’Examplar.
Pour ce qui est des organisateurs, ils seront encouragés à contacter le Coordinateur Régional correspondant au bureau local avec lequel ils traitent, ce qui devrait normalement correspondre en terme de langue parlée.

Nous espérons que ce nouveau découpage va permettre aux arbitres de Suisse francophone de faire grossir leur communauté et d’échanger davantage avec les arbitres de leur nouvelle région.

Hello Judges!

Today, we (Guillaume Beuzelin, RC for France, Stefan Ladstaetter, current RC of the German-speaking countries, and Michael Wiese, previous RC for that region) would like to announce some changes to our regions.

A couple of years ago during a casual discussion between Michael and Guillaume, we had the idea of splitting Switzerland between France and German speaking countries because of language and culture. Before doing so, we wanted to be sure Swiss judges won’t be negatively impacted in terms of community because of such split. This has been the root cause of the double region feature on JudgeApps—we wanted to enable the Swiss judges to read the forum of both regions they will very likely interact with.
With the implementation of this feature a couple of months ago we were ready to announce the change, but it made more sense for us to know the new RC for the German-speaking countries before announcing it publicly. Now that Stefan is officially the RC of the German-speaking countries, we are happy to announce the official split of Switzerland between the Region France and the German speaking countries one.

In practice, each Swiss judge will be able to choose his primary region based on the language he or she is more comfortable with. To do it, french-speaking judges should select “Switzerland french-speaking” on their JudgeApps profile, other Swiss judges should keep Switzerland as their country. This primary region is mostly an administrative choice: which RC do you have to contact if you have an issue or if you are interested in becoming L3, which RC will be responsible for shipping your Exemplar foils, and so on.
Concerning the stores and TOs, they will be encourage to contact the RC of the same region as their local office, which normally matches in terms of language.

We hope this new future for the French-speaking part of Switzerland will help its local judge community to grow and create more and deeper exchanges with other judges in their new region.
