  • Why did you become a judge?: I have always taken an interest in watching and spectating magic games. Most of the time, I find myself reading up on many rules and cards interaction. One day my friend casually suggested I consider being a judge since I am reading up so much on the rules, and that is where I thought, why not…
  • What excites you most about this event?: Being part of a large organised event has always been an amazing experience. Working alongside people from diverse cultures and backgrounds, that is going to amplify the awesomeness!
  • What worries you most about this event?: I guess what worry me the most is that I am unable to meet the expectations of those that entrusted me with the role and duties. I would really hate to disappoint those who have guided and mentored me until now.
  • What are you hoping to learn at this event?: I hope to learn more about how different parts of the event interact with each other.
  • Who are your mentors?: Tjong Wei Jia and Chuanjie Seow
  • What challenges have you faced or are you facing to become a better judge?: I believe one of the challenges I faced and perhaps is still facing is my confidence level, especially when it comes to handling new roles and responsibilities that I have been assigned.
  • How have you worked to overcome those challenges?: One of the ways I worked through it is to plan and prepare extensively for the role, do lots of research and seek counsel from my fellow mentors and other senior judges.

  • What is your favorite Magic memory?: Sitting in a kitchen, playing multi-player FFA 60-card with my group of friends.
