Hello everyone! The Northeast US Spring 2016 Judge Conference is in two days in Hoboken, NJ. I hope to see many of you there, but in case you won’t make it, we have a few updates.
First, if you’re in the area, it’s not too late to join us. It is unfortunately too late to get participation foils for doing so (that list was finalized weeks ago), but if you want to see some great talks by some amazing judges, just use the late applications link and then email us at nejudgeconference@gmail.com. Not sure if you’re interested? Look at our schedule of presenters.
If you’re bored and can’t wait for the conference, may I recommend articles written by a few of our presenters?
- In Five Additional Turns by Eric Dustin Brown and Five Additional Turns by Jenn Dery
- Our PPTQ Planning Project by Chase Culpon, who will present on the State of the PPTQ
- Radical Candor by Paul Baranay
If you won’t be able to make it, Judge Conference slides are usually available online after the event, and we’ll make sure to do that for this conference. But we’re also going to go one step further: plans are in place to make recordings of most of the talks, which will be publicized after the conference, and we’re also going to attempt to stream one presentation from each timeslot. That last bit is very beta, I probably shouldn’t even be telling you about it – but if we do have enough bandwidth, we’ll be hosting that on YouTube and sharing the link far and wide on Saturday.
So if you’re nearby, it’s not too late to come, but we also have Other Ways of getting that content to you. We’ll post a wrap-up with links to slides and recorded presentations after the conference.
