Regional Coordinator Shawn Doherty posted the following update to the Northeast Facebook group:

Greetings, Region! I have an important announcement: We have a new Regional Coordinator for the Northeast US region, Mr. John Alderfer. After 4 1/2 years of holding this position, I decided that it was time for a change, for me and for the region. In the last few months, there was a process of finding a replacement and John was the selection. I know that the region will be in good hands, not just with John as RC, but with all the other leaders that have help this region grow and succeed.

When I started as RC, the region had about 130 judges. The region recently passed 430 judges. I am excited to see the region continue to grow. I will still be around and active in the region. I will still be happy to hear from judges in the region and help them how ever I can, so feel free to let me know.

We’d like to welcome John Alderfer as our new Regional Coordinator, and thank Shawn for his many years of hard work for the region.
