Good evening! You may have noticed the relative silence from the Exemplar Highlights crew over the last few weeks. There have been a few changes and adjustments in the works that we are now ready to announce!
The first and biggest change is that Daniel Lee (that’s me!) is now the Project Manager for Southwest Exemplar Highlights!
Let me tell you a bit about myself. I certified in November 2004 under Toby Elliot, making L2 in January 2007. This allowed me to judge at Pro Tour San Diego 2007 and Pro Tour Hollywood 2008, both experiences that solidified my desire to be a part of the global Judge community. Unfortunately, real life happened, and my certification lapsed during this period. I rejoined in late 2013 with renewed vigor and a desire to make up for lost time. In the last three-and-a-half years, I have worked on thirteen Grand Prix events and I am pursuing advancement towards L3. I have been a huge fan of the Exemplar program since its inception and I am really excited to take the reins on this project! We have some truly amazing judges here in the Southwest, so I am more than happy to run a project whose entire goal is to show off how awesome we really are!
The next change involves our Exemplar Highlights posting frequency. Previously, we published an article once per week on Fridays. This workload lead to quite a bit of burnout among the content providers and several missed deadlines. As such, I decided to change the publishing schedule to every other week, remaining on Fridays. This will let us continue highlighting the incredible work being done in our region while giving our writers enough time to produce high-quality articles.
Our first article will be published next Friday, right here on the Southwest Regional Blog. Join us as we continue to showcase the wonderful work being done here in USA-Southwest!
