• Shawn Doherty, after 4.5 years as our Regional Coordinator, has decided to step aside and the position has moved to John Alderfer. You can read Shawn’s comments the Magic Judge News blog here. Thanks for everything Shawn, and best of luck John!

• Exemplar Wave Six is now open! This wave closes on 8/02/2016. There are also some details on program changes in this post by Bryan Prillaman.

Northeast Blog Highlights

• Bearz Repeating (5/04/16): Paul Baranay blogs about the Exemplar program and addresses some of the issues that people sometimes have with utilizing their recognition slots.
• Bearz Repeating (5/11/16): Bearz wrote about the events leading up to GP New York, including Eldritch Horror, illness inducing sushi(maybe?), and a neat role on Friday.
• Bearz Repeating (5/19/16): Paul led one of the deck check teams on Saturday of GP New York and spends some time going over extended shifts, co-leadership, and team building.
• Bearz Repeating (5/26/16): Bearz was the head judge for the Super Sunday Series at GP New York, and took this opportunity to go over his decisions as to how it was planned.
• Battlefield Forge (5/03/16): Jonah Kellman wrote about some of the mistakes he made while team leading sides at SCG Philly, and the lessons learned from them.

Tournament Report Highlights

• Oliver Beaumont wrote a short piece discussing how we ran New Hampshire’s first Triple PPTQ day. Three events, three stores, and one neutral location leads to a fun filled day of Magic, hurdles and all!
• Andrew Blizzard wrote a piece titled “Never Stop Learning-A Tale of Humility“, which includes some insights from a newer L2 head judging his first PPTQ.
