A visual of the new Southwest Regional Leadership structure

Yesterday I announced that there would be a new structure in the Southwest for Leadership. It involved links for applications and explanations of what it would look like. Sometimes though, a visual guide can really improve our understanding of complicated systems. So let’s take a look:

The Leads will all report to two coordinators, one Area Coordinator and one Specialty Coordinator. All of the Area Coordinators are outlined in a color and their respective leads are also outlined in the same color. All of the Specialty Coordinators are filled in with a color and their respective leads are also filled in with the same color. Makes sense, right? But what do these roles mean?

Here is a document we attached with the application we pushed out yesterday:

To facilitate this change, we are creating four sub regions for the USA Southwest. These four areas will be: Northern California (including Bakersfield and Santa Maria as the southernmost cities), Southern California, Nevada, Arizona.

There are three tiers within our new leadership program:

Regional Coordinator

Area Coordinator | Specialty Coordinator

Area Specialty Lead

At the Area Coordinator level there are 6 unique roles. One of these roles is repeated for each of the four sub regions, for 9 total Area Coordinator positions.  We anticipate these roles to take up approximately 20 to 30 hours per month of work per month.

Pretty cool, right? We are very excited about this new structure and the application process that we have created to go with it. If you have any questions about this, please feel free to reach out to me at mtgjudgechandler@gmail.com
