Jernej Lipovec is the Country Coordinator for Slovenia. Jernej became L1 at GP Brussels 2010 after his sixth consecutive 6-3 record at a GP. He loved winning beers in a rules question bets with his player colleagues and posting interesting rules questions at local forums, so becoming a judge was an easy choice. He shortly made L2 at next year’s nationals after being sent to judge a GP and absolutely loving it. With encouragement from current RC Giorgos he made L3 in 2014 and has been travelling the world ever since.

Jernej received 5 nominations in Wave 4, let’s have a look at them.

Julien Laronde had this to say about Jernej:

“We traveled through the East Coast together to Judge two Grand Prix in the end of 2015. When I got sick in Atlanta you walked across the city to find drugs to make me feel better. On top of that, you always were interested in discussing policy and you basically made my whole journey easier, better and more interesting. Thank you.”[/cets_callout_box]

John Papadakis had this to say about Jernej:

“Thank you for making me a part of the L2 Training, it was a very educational experience for me! I am really looking forward to see the evolution of the project, we need more innovators like you!”[/cets_callout_box]

“Jernej!

I’m loving your contributions to JudgeApps! The features themselves have been great, but I’d really like to call attention to your brainstorming posts. I love that you’re turning implementation details into a group effort, not simply claiming a ticket and working by yourself. It’s a great way for the group to learn with each other and develop a great product.

Thanks!!

– Lems”[/cets_callout_box]

Paul Baranay had this to say about Jernej:

“Jernej, thank you for improving how JudgeApps event and forum links are shown on sites like Facebook! This long-awaited feature is going to be a huge quality-of-life improvement for many users. I’m looking forward to continuing to work with you!”[/cets_callout_box]

Ryan Scullin had this to say about Jernej:
[cets_callout_box style=’gray’ align=’full’ title=”]

“During the craziness of GP Pittsburgh, you took the time to work with me on the floor of my first GP. I don’t get to work large events often and because of this I don’t work with lots of judges and I get feedback even more seldom. Your feedback about investigations especially is something I will apply as I judge PPTQs in my area.”[/cets_callout_box]

Congratulations Jernej, this is a splendid accomplishment!
