Dear East European Judges,

Welcome to another edition of monthly highlights in our region, meant to sum up everything interesting and relevant that has happened here over the last month.

NEWS

• From now on Highlights will be published on the 1st of every month.
• Judge Center bites the dust. Submit all your investigations through Judge Apps.
• Thanks to changes in GPs next year, our region will be having a Grand Prix in 2018, courtesy of “ChannelFireball Events”! Acting as Head Judge will be Giorgos Trichopoulos. Exact date, location and format TBD.

CONFERENCES

• The Europe East Summer Conference of 2017 will be taking place during the weekend of June 30th, in Varna, Bulgaria. Be sure to apply to it before May 29th. UPDATE: New Judge foil support will include Spark Ghast, Elderbeast & Elven blade.

ADVANCEMENTS

• Due to his increasing responsibilities as head of the Social Media Sphere, DLI will be leaving us to back to Spain, where he can better co-lead (with head of the Technology Sphere) the implementation of an upcoming proffesional social media network for judges, which will be called Judg’in.
• Some new L1s have been certified by some L2s.
• Because of the use of the term “Country coordinator” and not the official “Area Captain”, WOTC got angry and demoted all Country coordinators Area Captains to Level 1.
