Balkan Çilingir

Balkan is a L2 from Turkey who’s been playing since 1996 and Judging since 2001. He was the only active judge in his country for many years while other judges started and quit after judging a few tournaments. He happily enjoys that this isn’t the case anymore and that the judge community has grown not only in Turkey but in the region as well.

Balkan received 2 nominations on Wave 3, let’s have a look at them.

Raphael Pistorius had this to say about Balkan:

“You put a lot of effort into this year’s Summer conference both during and prior to conference. Even when it wasn’t your responsibility you take me all of the Thrace region for looking for hotels, you spend a lot of money and time just for your community. During the event you helped me with errors occurred during organization so attending judges won’t notice and also you greet everyone from airport and [after the conference] delivered them to airport on a one-way 4 hour ride.”[/cets_callout_box]
