Hello everyone,
It is time again for our statistics post for the last Exemplar wave. In the sixth wave, slots for recognition were decreased, mainly because we moved from 3 waves per year to 4. This resulted in a worldwide decrease in nominations this wave of about 28%. Our region’s nominations received also decreased, but significantly less than that – by only about 14%.
For this wave, we’ll look at the changes in the nominations that judges of a certain level in our region have received lately. Here is the chart with the data for the last three waves:
As you can see, the nominations of L1s have increased steadily, meaning that more and more of our L1s seem to be doing an awesome job. Thus, perhaps it is not surprising that the percentage of our “internal” (within the region) nominations has increased – after all, most L1s do not make a huge international impact. In order to achieve that impressive figure for L1 recognitions, we had to give 75% of or nominations internally.
Finally, I’d like to go back to perhaps the most important statistic of the entire program – the utilization of our nomination slots. This time we did quite a bit better than last wave – as a reminder, we had less than 33% used then – but there is still a lot of room for improvement. We have used less than half of our available slots this time around. Hopefully this number improves even further for the next wave! And if you are an L1 or a TO who would like to recognize a judge, please get in touch with a L2+ who will probably be able to arrange making that recognition official!
I hope that this small overview was interesting to read. 🙂 Let us know what you think in Judge Apps!
