Welcome to another edition of monthly highlights in our region, meant to sum up everything interesting and relevant that has happened here over the last month.
NEWS
- Examplar Wave 8 is open until January 31st for all your recognitions.
EVENTS
- Ahead are 2 GPs in our proximity : Grand Prix Utrecht (February 24–26, Standard) & Grand Prix Barcelona (March 10–12, Standard). Application windows should open soon.
CONFERENCES
- The Europe East Winter Conference of 2017 will be taking place during the weekend of February 3rd-5th, at Athens, Greece. You can apply to it until December 23rd.
- The first Middle East Judge Conference was held in Battlezone, Dubai. If you’ve missed it you can still watch the presentations on YouTube, or if you’re short on time (7 and a half hours) there are also some Pictures.

- David de la Iglesia
has been chosen to lead the new Social Media and Web Platforms Sphere.
- Ricardo Barreto
has been certified as L1 by Olivier Gheysen
during the Middle East 2016 Judge Conference in Dubai.
- Adi Jian
has been certified as L1 by Yuval Tzur
in Israel.
- Jon Valasiadis
and Konstantinos Pakas
have been certified as L1s by Kreon Tseroulis
in Greece.

- For earning the most recognitions in our region during wave 6, Theodoros Millidonis
got to be featured on Judge of the Week’s Top Regional Exemplar Recipients among some of the judge program’s greatests.
