XPOK

In wave 11 we continue featuring some highlights of the Exemplar nominations received by judges in our region.

Stay tuned to this blog or to the Europe-East Magic Judges Facebook group to read more features, today we present…

Alon Luski

Alon Luski L2, Israel

Alon Luski L2, Israel

Alon is an L2 from Israel. He started playing during Revised and has been working both as a TO and a judge since Onslaught block. Aside from Commander, he mostly tries to play with his Vintage cube, which he spent too much money on. He now looks towards more GPs in Europe and the US, as well as trying to expand his local community in order to support his addiction to foiling his cube.

Alon received 3 nominations in Wave 11, let’s have a look at them.

Alon has been doing a lot of great work for the judge community in Israel lately. He’s been in charge of a series of wonderful articles meant to educate players for the upcoming Israeli nationals and help preemptively prevent many issues that we were expecting to face through this. He has done this through expert knowledge, passion and managing skills so as to let many judges experience writing an article for the first time, and supporting them professionally through the process to have a great finished product. I would definitely recommend more regions to be inspired from this idea and execution. Well done!

I would really like to thank you, Alon, for managing and editing all the articles we wrote to educate players before Nationals. You were on top of everything, knew what’s going on with each and every article, made a great editorial work and even helped some of the writers when they needed it. You even managed to help from abroad with the last few articles. This project was big in scale, and you made a very professional job handling it. Thanks!

I want to nominate you for 2 reasons. The first reason is your production of a series of explanatory articles designed to teach and educate the Israeli player community about competitive tournaments, this is very important as we don’t have many competitive REL tournaments. The second reason is that you’ve successfully instructed and guided me in writing an article(one of the series) and helped me to understand how to write better articles. Thanks for your work, and keep at it! 😀

Congratulations, Alon, for your great work in educating players in your community, keep the articles coming!
