The Exemplar Program is a Judge Foundry based community-driven peer recognition system designed to give members the opportunity to recognize excellence among their fellow Judges.
Goal
The goal of the Exemplar Program is to recognize the contributions that judges make to other judges, Judge Foundry, and the Magic the Gathering Community as a whole. Its aim is to grow the quality of judges through positive reinforcement and recognition for the contributions that make judging so rewarding. We believe that by providing examples of excellence and celebrating the accomplishments of others we provide guideposts and role models to others.

The Process
Approximately four times a year, the Exemplar team will open a recognition window. During that time, Judge Foundry Certified members will receive one or more Recognition slots based on their level and a few predefined roles. Each recognition slot can be used to recognize a fellow member for a contribution that made a meaningful impact. Within a few guidelines, it is up to the individual member to determine what they consider exemplary behavior.
Once the wave ends, recognitions are locked in. The Exemplar team begins a review process to evaluate the recommendations against the guidelines. After the review cycle ends, recognitions are publicly posted. Often this will come with a celebratory article highlighting some of the teams favorite recognitions.
The Exemplar program will use apps.magicjudges.org to record and publish recognitions.
