To Adam Hubble, L2 from USA – Southeast
Recognized by Bryan Prillaman, L3
This last South East conference, Adam was an unofficial coordinator. He went above and beyond finding equipment, cameras, projectors, and he was always looking to do more to make the event better.   The conference would not have been as successful without his behind the scenes contributions

Ratb0x,

Your drive in MS is something I don’t think that state has ever seen in my tenure as RC. Though your progress is incremental, it’s inspiring and you work tirelessly, keep it up!

To Benjamin Bloodworth, L2 from USA – Southeast
Recognized by Ben McDole, L3
Your tireless effort to build not only a community of judges but a community of players has been a world of difference. When I first visited Tallahassee it was a wasteland, with no events and zero judges.   Since then your work has not only grown a vibrant community, but leveled several of them up.
To Benjamin Bloodworth, L2 from USA – Southeast

Whenever there is a need in the program, you jump up to help. Whether it is hosting a regional conference or organizing judge classes or developing websites for pet projects, I know we can count on you to get the job done. Thank you for making the judge program such a priority in your life.
To Benjamin McDole, L3 from USA – Southeast
Recognized by Jason Reedy, L3
On Saturday of GP Atlanta, there were many things not going according to standard. Notably, the decklists were in extreme disarray. Ben stepped in and set priorities and practices which resolved the situation, saving a good deal of time for the event and eliminating needless extra work for many.

Thank you for your role in my advancement. You motivated me in going forward, not only by saying that I should, but by explaining why I should, and where I was in the program. I’m sure I’m not the only judge you’ve mentored and motivated, thanks again for your great job!

Ben, I have been amazed at the leadership and maturity you have shown recently. I know you’ve said that I have inspired you, but the inspiration goes both ways. I especially loved the way you stepped up in discussions about the new USC -Major in a hotly-debated Knowledge Pool scenario. -Riki

First, you put together an awesome tournament report. Then you followed it up with some true thought leadership on the idea of how UC – Major applies in tough situations. You were direct in asking for help and validating your thoughts, but you also took personal responsibility for the outcome.
To Brandon Kohrs, L1 from USA – Southeast
Recognized by Bryan Prillaman, L3
At a recent FNM, a new player came to the store. They were clearly uncomfortable and very uncertain. Brandon went out of his way to spend time with them, making them comfortable and teaching while being a friend. I would like to see more of this behavior in judges of all levels
To Brian Fedorko, L1 from USA – Southeast
Recognized by Bryan Prillaman, L3
Brian gets my reco for shear attitude.   He is extremely positive, and upbeat, and has a can-do attitude. It is infectious, in a non-obnoxious way. Both judges and players cant help but smile around him.
To Brian Guess, L2 from USA – Southeast
Recognized by Justin Turner, L3

Brian,

Thanks for everything you do for Alabama, we haven’t had a clear leader in the state in some time and having you on point has made managing the state infinitely easier. We’ve had some great successes with TOs and judges alike this past year and here’s to some more!

I could simply list your projects but I’m not certain that I would be within the character limit. You lead far more projects than is expected of our level and the quality you put out is higher than a great portion of the others I see. The breadth of interest alone requires recognition.
To Bryan Prillaman, L3 from USA – Southeast
Recognized by Eric Levine, L3
Thanks for your work dealing with the r/mtgjudge thread about L2s with contempt for L1s. You encapsulated so many things I wanted to say without any hint of frustration or partiality; instead of ranting, you laid out the facts calmly. A great example for judges of all levels.
To Bryan Prillaman, L3 from USA – Southeast
Recognized by Justin Turner, L3

Bryan,

I know that recognizing you is like a broken record, but I couldn’t do my job without your constant support. The fact that you also have time to do program-wide tasks is just mind-boggling. I hope this shows you how much I appreciate it, at least.

To CJ Shrader, L2 from USA – Southeast

Thank you for Bitty Kitty. Thank you for Battle Cat. Thank you for Milkshake. Judgecast has helped countless judges and players understand rules, policy and program changes better for years. I wish I had started listening earlier and I would be a better judge today.

CJ,

As always, your dedication to your state and the education and bonding of your fellow judges is exactly what I’m looking for in a leader and it’s inspirational to others in your area who want to also advance in the program. Keep it up!

To David Greene, L2 from USA – Southeast
Recognized by Bryan Prillaman, L3
David gets my reco for persistence.   He has a work schedule that precludes him from working many events, but he has found other ways to contribute.   YouTube videos, judge classes, visiting shops, projects, meets up with local L1s. He shows that there is a whole lot to the program outside events.
To David Truitt, L2 from USA – Southeast

David,

I know you’ve been through some business up there, but you never stop trying to make magic better for players and judges alike. Keep on keepin on, your dedication is awesome!

To Gene-Paul Russell, L1 from USA – Southeast

Thank you for taking the initiative to build a GA judges website without being asked. You carefully thought out a resource that would be beneficial to the community as a whole and took it upon yourself to make that resource come to life. Keep up the great work!

At the risk of sounding like a homer you’ve doing great work. I’ve seen the junk that RCs need to do and the effort and care that some use.   Your reasons have been well thought out, sane, and more importantly well communicated. Good show old chap.
To Justin Turner, L3 from USA – Southeast
Recognized by Bryan Prillaman, L3
I interact with Justin a lot, I see/hear about the work he does in other parts of the region. If you bring a concern to him, he will address it. He is very blunt and forthcoming, but in a productive way. And his attitude of “Give a damn and get [things] done” is a very strong positive message.

The methods are… unconventional… but the results are undeniable. Thanks for taking care of those FL Judge flareups that came up and keeping that crew in line.
To Justin Van Hall, L1 from USA – Southeast
Recognized by CJ Crooks, L3
Thanks for going out of your way to build the judge community, working with multiple stores in the area to put on great Comp REL events and teaching a judge class to interested players. I was especially impressed with you driving almost an hour to help with a GPT.
To Linda Detwiler, L1 from USA – Southeast

You’ve really gone above and beyond by taking the lead on e-judge. I’m excited to see the final fruits of your labors, and can’t wait for judges for years to come to learn and grow from your work.
To Marcie Eaddy, L1 from USA – Southeast

Thank you for always being willing to help and mentor other judges. A lot of people have noticed your actions to build a bigger, better, bolder community and we wanted to collectively share our thanks!
To Michael Grimsley, L1 from USA – Southeast

Michael,

I know we don’t get to interact much except via FB, but I’m aware of your constant drive to make things better in your area. I wish other judges had your sense of direction and healthy goals! Keep up the good work!

To Michael Lopez, L2 from USA – Southeast

Michael! you know I love you man! You step it up every single time and even when you have problems of your own to take care of, you always make sure everything’s on route. Reliable, always delivering, responsible. You’re an inspiration to us all!
To Michael Puccio, L2 from USA – Southeast
Recognized by Ben McDole, L3
Your community work since hitting L2 has been outstanding. You’ve essentially held together a community when one of the originators has abandoned it and become functionally inactive. Additionally your research on topics of interest to the state captains has been second to none!
To Michael Suchan, L1 from USA – Southeast
Recognized by Justin Turner, L3

Suchan,

Your support of the local judge community is just awesome. You blend the roles of judge and TO and make sure you take care of both your players and local judges. I wish they were all like you!

-Turner

To Nicholas Zitomer, L2 from USA – Southeast
Recognized by Bryan Prillaman, L3
ZItomer has really grown into his role as one of the senor judges in GA. He is active in leading multiple education FB groups, and has developed the willingness to step up and challenge things that he believes are wrong.   He demonstrates a solid work ethic and a strong moral center.
To Nicholas Zitomer, L2 from USA – Southeast

Nik,

There’s probably no other L2 in the region that cares about the community on the same level you do. You are always looking at ways to get us together and make us better. Thank you for all you do for your state!

-Turner

To Paul Jasinto, L2 from USA – Southeast
Recognized by Jason Reedy, L3
Paul was a rock on the floor coverage team at GP Richmond, his first GP. Far from overwhelmed, Paul moved through the floor with precision – flowing to areas where floor coverage was weak. His interactions with players were professional and his judgement was clear even in tricky situations.
To Peter Spoto, L1 from USA – Southeast
Recognized by Ben McDole, L3
You did tremendous work building up a community at Anthem Games. Your dedication to players and judges and even the owners was far above and beyond the things required by a level 1 judge. Keep up the great work!
To W. Matt Williams, L3 from USA – Southeast
Recognized by Bryan Prillaman, L3
Matt is a phenomenal floor judge, and has really stepped up recently his involvement in growing/mentoring the new store in his area which is now running a large number of events and a source of lots of new competitive judging opportunities.
To W. Matt Williams, L2 from USA – Southeast

BW,

You are likely the most “drama free” of the senior Florida judges. The way you stick to business and goals is admirable in this crew of degenerates where it is easy to get off task. One of these days we’ll be able to sit and talk at an event and not draw a crowd!
