He was both a great friend and mentor during my (and his) road to level 3 certification, helping to make the challenge that much more surmountable. He pioneered, developed, and published a new system for deck list collection and handling that I’ve come to embrace at a number of GPs recently. He’s been a presence on IRC and a person with whom I’ve been able to exchange thoughts and opinions on program-related issues with sincerity and candor. In short, I want to recognize David because I owe him a lot for helping me be the judge I am today.
