Stephan Classen – Judge of the Week Project

Welcome to a special edition of Judge of the Week! This is the Project Edition, where I choose a project, and ask the project's creator/leader to nominate a member to be featured. Our first project featured is the Judge of the Week project, and I've nominated Stephan Classen, L2 from Hilo, Hawaii! Here's why: I first met Stephan at GP Atlantic City in 2013. He was eager to join the project, but we couldn't think of anything specific for him to do. He correctly pointed out that updates were a bit Read more [...]

Jorge Pinto

Hello, judges! Today's featured judge is Jorge Pinto (aka Jopinto or Jopi), L2 from Santiago, Chile. He got certified at the Scars of Mirrodin prerelease, and was recently leveled up at GP Sao Paulo. Good day, everyone. Our current Judge of the Week lives in Shanghai, China. It's Zhaoben Xu! He was nominated by one of our previous JOTWs, Fabian Peck. He always brings a great sense of fun to events and has done a lot to help get more involvement between China and the rest of the judging community. Occupation: Business Intelligence Read more [...]

Mark was nominated by L5 Jason "Lems" Lemahieu and L4 Chris Richter. Here's what Read more [...]

Fabian Peck

Hello everyone! Today we feature another Level 3, but this time, from Down-Under... it's Fabian Peck, from Melbourne, Australia! I had the privilege of working with Fabian at GP Manila, and I definitely agree with this nomination. Thanks to Mark Brown, fellow Australian, for nominating him. Fabian became a judge in 2006, became level 2 at GP Auckland 2008, and then became level 3 at Worlds 2010. Why did he become a judge? "It just looked fun. I had a few friends who were judging at prereleases Read more [...]
