We’ve just unleashed a significant feature change to JudgeApps: we’ve replaced the Private Message system with a Judge-Center-like Email Form.
It works in basically the same way as Judge Center: Any links to send a Private Message have been replaced by a link to Send Email, where you’ll be presented with a basic form. Submitting the form will email the recipient your message from your JudgeApps-registered email, making it very easy for the recipient to respond to you. (Additionally, the message won’t contain a bunch of extraneous HTML!) The recipient will see your email address, but you won’t see the recipient’s email address unless they reply to you.
When you send a message through the form, you’ll also be sent a receipt of the message you sent.
Private Messages that you’ve sent or received on JudgeApps will be available on the server until March 1, 2014. After this date, they will be permanently deleted. This means that if you have content in your private messages, you should find another place to save that information soon. 🙂
I’m REALLY excited about this improvement. I’d like to thank Brenton Kollinger for laying the groundwork for us, and Carsten Haese for finishing it up and getting it rolled out. Great job, guys!
