Updates on Wave 3

In our last update we said we were closing in on finishing up all the reviews, and that it would be a bit longer. Well, longer has come and passed, so I reckon it’s time for an update. As it stands right now, we have completed all the reviews, and collected all the revisions we expect to collect, and everything is in a nice package. So, if that’s the case, why haven’t we released the nominations?

If you remember, Wave 3 ended and Wave 4 began at a point of transition. Our previous judge community manager at Wizards had just left and we had not yet acquired our current judge community manager. As a result, we were not able to use the period between Waves to assess and re-calibrate and act on the various pieces of feedback we had been collecting over the length of Wave 3 and the days immediately following.

That’s where we are now. Over the last few weeks, we have been looking at what has gone well and what hasn’t in the past several months. Part of that work is looking at putting logistics in place to reduce or eliminate potential future delays on both the Judge side and the Wizards side of the Exemplar program.
