Back to school, back to school, to prove to Jace that I’m not a fool. I got my lunch packed up, my boots tied tight. I hope I don’t get in a fight. We’re re-enrolling at Strixhaven this summer to take a course on Missed Triggers. Finally, a college course that’s relevant! Hey, before we get started… can I borrow a pencil? Thanks.
Two cards have one or more triggers that upgrade to a Warning when missed:

“[Copy a creature spell. It has haste and] “At the beginning of the next end step, sacrifice this token.””
Red’s designated “make a token that goes away later” card in Strixhaven. If a player forgets to sacrifice the token the creature spell becomes, they’ll earn a Warning.
Tragedy Feaster“At the beginning of your end step, sacrifice a permanent unless you gained life this turn.”
This trigger is all downside, but the tradeoff is that you get a 4-mana 7/6 with trample and ward. If a player forgets to sacrifice a permanent, they’ll earn a Warning. If they do miss this trigger, note that when you apply the remedy, they can’t choose to sacrifice something that wasn’t already on the battlefield when the trigger should have happened.
And that’s all for Secrets of Strixhaven! Much like the school year, sometimes an article is better when it’s shorter. See y’all in a few months for MAHVEL, BABY!!!!
