Wave 2 mailings – update

Written by Kim Warren Level 4, United Kingdom Hey guys. Just a quick post to update you on the status of the mailings associated with Exemplar Wave 2. Thank you to everyone who provided us with their address information in a timely fashion; I've sent that entire list onto Wizards of the Coast this morning. I will let you know any updates on when the actual mailing is expected to happen when I hear them. It's also been pointed out that I can't count, and so the 'countdown to the

Begin Wave 3!

Written by Kim Warren Level 4, United Kingdom The dust has started settling after the Modern Masters 2015 weekend, and judges are starting to have the time to focus on other things. With such a large proportion of the world's judges having been involved in this weekend in one way or another, there will have been many opportunities for judges to shine, and this seems like a good time to open up the submissions window for the next wave of Exemplar. a Updates on Wave 2 Firstly, though,

Wave 2/3 update

Hello everyone. I just thought that I would pop in to reassure you that we are working on how we are going to handle the wave two foil mailings, as well as reviewing the data of program use so far over the first couple of waves to decide what changes we are planning to make for the third wave. It looks likely that we will be altering some of the number and assignment of slots, which is why we have not yet opened the wave - we don't want people to start entering recognitions into the system only

Exemplar Wave 2 recognitions published!

Things have taken a bit longer than we expected as we ironed out bugs in the review systems and got all the code in place for the public review viewing (and once again, I cannot thank the inestimable enough for all the time and effort he has put into getting everything set up in this respect), but Exemplar Wave 2 has now been published. All the recognitions can now be viewed through judge apps; in the menu bar on the left of the screen, the Exemplar submenu includes ‘My Recognitions’

What happens next and FAQs

Exemplar Wave 2 is now closed. In total, 2077 recognitions have been submitted in this wave (meaning that about 60% of all available slots were used), so thank you to everyone who took the time to write a message for judges who they had seen demonstrating inspiring or exemplary behaviour. The next stage in this wave is a closed review period. A small group of level 3+ judges will be looking through a random selection of the submitted recognitions over the next two weeks, making sure that they

Exemplar Wave 2 – Deadline Extension to 23:59 GMT March 2nd

Apparently , quite a number of judges had problems with submitting their Exemplar recommendations as they had assumed that the window closed at midnight CST and so missed it closing at midnight GMT. As many other things on judge apps operate on CST (event applications in particular), we've decided to reopen the window for two more days to give judges the chance to submit those recognitions. The Exemplar Wave 2 window will close for the final time at 23:59 GMT Monday, March 2nd. There will be

Exemplar Wave 1 Mailings Arriving!

As you may now have realised through the miracle of social media, the mailings associated with the first Exemplar wave have started to be received by recognised judges in the US. All of the mailings were sent at the same time and as such they will take a little longer to get to other parts of the world, but you can rest assured that the system is in motion. We've said it before, but cannot reinforce this point enough: Wizards of the Coast have offered to support this program by providing judge foils

Exemplar Wave 2

I’m pleased to announce that all of the technical issues that delayed the first wave of Exemplar have now been resolved, and that foils will soon be on their way to judges recognised within that wave. Which means that everything is in place to get things started to wave 2! Wave 1 was advertised as a pilot program and was intended to be a proof of concept – if we gave judges the power to take part in peer-to-peer recognition, would they choose to exercise it? What would the results look like?

We haven’t forgotten you!

Hey everyone. Due to some technical issues linked to the recent Wizards database changes, there's been some delay in terms of getting the Exemplar wave 1 mail out sorted. I've been hearing that some judges have been voicing concerns that the delay on this front indicates that the program has been abandoned, so I just wanted to reassure you that this is not the case. We have not been idle in this time, soliciting feedback from those involved in providing recognitions during the first wave and
