昼/夜は、ゲーム中に変化しうる状態であるが、どちらのプレイヤーにもコントロールされていない。一旦生成されると、ゲーム内に現在の状態を参照するオブジェクトがなくても追跡され続ける。現在の状態を追跡することと、追跡するために用いられている共有の方法が誤った表示をしているときに指摘することは両プレイヤーの義務である。 状態の責任が共有されているので、誤って示されている状態は〔意思疎通規定抵触行為〕として扱われるが、どちらのプレイヤーも【警告】を受けることはない。 プレイヤーもジャッジも現在の状態を決定できない場合、呪文がプレイされなかったターンのほうが複数の呪文がプレイされたターンよりも忘れられやすいので、ジャッジは現在を夜だと仮定すること。
