Updates to JudgeApps Account Creation

We're making a major change to how users get JudgeApps accounts. User accounts no longer require approval from an L2+ judge prior to use, but rather, they can be used as soon as the user verifies their email address. To protect our users' privacy, we've added additional restrictions to uncertified user accounts. Introducing JudgeApps Checklists

Hello everyone! Today, we're introducing a new feature to JudgeApps. Many roles and levels within the Judge Program require an application, including verification of certain pre-requisites, such as events judged, reviews written, or exams passed. MagicJudges.org network maintenance August 24th

We are scheduling a maintenance window for the MagicJudges.org network of sites for Friday, August 24th, 2018, at 10AM Eastern. This is the final stage of migrating the servers to updated software baselines and current hardware infrastructure. We expect this maintenance to last no more than three hours. During this maintenance, most sites will remain online, but may experience brief and intermittent interruptions. Introducing a New Account Approval Process

Whenever a user makes an account on JudgeApps, we verify the information they provided, to prevent against abuse, spam, and to ensure that their account information is correct. Prior to the current Judge Center outage, we had a partially automated system where the site admins, RCs, and Level 3 judges would review the accounts of people who wish to sign up for JudgeApps.
