Multiple Thorncaster Slivers – the abilities stack.

Everyone loves Slivers! They’ve been a fan-favorite ever since their inception way back in Tempest. And just like the old slivers, some Slivers are great in multiples (like power and toughness boosting Slivers, like Battle Sliver or Predatory Sliver), while some don’t really provide any extra value in multiples (two Bonescythe Slivers aren’t very useful, since multiple instances of double strike are redundant. And two copies of Manaweft Sliver will just give your slivers two instances of the mana producing ability, and you can still only activate one of those abilities at a time).

But then we get to the oddball of the new Slivers: Thorncaster Sliver. Thorncaster Sliver give your Slivers a triggered ability, so do I get both triggers if I have two Thorncaster Slivers on the battlefield? In a bit of good news, you get both triggers. Each Sliver you control will have two identical triggers, and both will trigger when the condition of that Sliver attacking happens. So if you have two Thorncaster Slivers on the battlefield and attack with one of them, both abilities will trigger and you’ll be able to deal a total of two damage to target creatures or players. Attack with both, and that’s a total of 4 triggers!

Man, I thought multiple Hellriders were bad: this is almost worse!
