With the gods, when they’re not on the battlefield, their “isn’t a creature” ability does not apply. This means that in the graveyard you can target them as if they were creatures, and when they’re in your hand, Duress can’t choose a god since they still have the type “Creature” on them. So regardless what your devotion is, in any zone other than the battlefield, a god card is always a creature card, and can never be a noncreature card.
