So let’s say we get the Adephage into our graveyard, and then use the Whip to temporarily resurrect the Adephage. Naturally, we’re going to want to attack with it (because who doesn’t like attacking with giant bugs?). Since it’s a 7/7 trampler, he’s likely to get through for some damage. And you’ll get a copy of the Adephage.
The fun part comes at the end of the turn, when the original Adephage will be exiled due to the Whip’s delayed triggered ability. But the token will stick around. The token was made by the Giant Adephage’s triggered ability. It wasn’t made because of the Whip, so the token will stick around even if the original Adephage doesn’t. The delayed trigger from the Whip isn’t a copiable value, so it doesn’t carry over to the token. So we can continue to smash with a gigantic bug every turn (probably getting more bug tokens in the process!), and that’s not a bad thing; that’s a good thing.
