How the Two-Headed Giant format works (two teams, but four players).

In the multiplayer variant called two-headed giant (2HG), two players comprise a team. While two players on a team attack and defend as a team and share a life total, they are still considered individual players. Any spells or abilities which reference an individual player only refer to one player on a team. Any spells or abilities which reference each opponent affect both players on the opposing team, and any spells or abilities which reference each player affects all four players in the game.

If a player controls Ravager of the Fells, any individual player must cast two spells during a turn for the transform ability to trigger. If one player on a team casts only one spell and their teammate casts only one spell, then Ravager of the Fells will not transform back into Huntmaster of the Fells.

Also, if one player controls Liliana of the Veil and activates her +1 loyalty ability, each player must discard a card, not just one player on each team. Additionally, if a player controls a Scourge of Geier Reach, the creature gets +1/+1 for each creature that each player on the opposing team controls.
