Now, I hope you’re all ready for the prerelease this coming weekend! I sure can’t wait! A little something something that Wizards is doing for us at the Theros Prerelease is that they’re going to stick with the whole “Choose your color” concept. For the Prerelease, you will be able to choose what “Path” to follow!
Each path represents a certain color, and for each of the paths, you will receive 5 generic Theros Booster Packs, along with 1 “seeded” booster pack and a promotional card of that color. As with the recent RTR and GTC prereleases, you WILL be able to play with your promo card IN your deck for the PRERELEASE (Yay indeed!).
Another side thing they’ll be including in the packs are hero cards. These cards are meant for a Game Day challenge, and not for anything during the prerelease. These hero cards also don’t have a real Magic(™) card back, so it’ll be obvious they don’t belong in your deck.
Note that your chosen path is only for that specific event. If you enter 2, 3, or even 5 prerelease events over the weekend, you can choose a different path for each one, and collect all the associated hero cards!
